Eves Hill - Community Market Garden

29 June 2024 at 2.30pm - Visit and tour of Eves Hill Community Market Garden.

Eves Hill is a not for profit market garden using organic methods to supply tasty produce for the local area. Learn how they manage to be so productive from a relatively small area and how they support their local community.

Hannah, who co-founded Eves Hill in 2016 will be showing us around. There will be plenty of plants to look at and she will introduce gardening techniques that they use to create a really productive 1 acre market garden (they grew £40k of veg last year). Hannah will also do a short introduction to salad growing for their very popular salad bags.

Eves Hill is also a social enterprise, believing teaching people how to grow food is a wonderful way to develop skills, build confidence and bring people together. They encourage volunteers, run workshops and courses and have set up an apprentice support scheme. Those of us who have been to one of Eves Hill Open Days have come away inspired!

Hot and cold drinks will be provided and you are welcome to bring snacks.

ADDRESS: Eves Hill Veg Co - Bushey Place, Cromer Rd, Aylsham, NR11 6HF. Please put the post code into the sat nav (NOT the name) to ensure you make it to the right place.
PARKING. As you come through Aylsham and down the hill we will put a sign on the gate of our landlords house (on the left side of the road) to guide you into the over flow car park behind their house. You will see our market in front of you through the small gate. We also have a few spaces in our garden which is down the next track on the left (look for our sign).

We will also look to organise lifts nearer the date.
